Hi, everyone. Thanks for joining us at Society Street again or possibly not again. Possibly welcome for the first time. Either way, Hello. For those of you who don't know me, I'm Sam Burrell. I'm the program chair at Society Street. And I'm just going to give everyone a couple of minutes to get in, get themselves sorted out, make sure they can hear that kind of thing.
You should see on the right hand side of your screen a chat feature. Please put your name in and join in the conversation. One of the things we're really keen on at Society Street is to make sure that it's an opportunity for people to speak to each other, both in person, on Zoom calls and in chat. So please do use that chat feature. Sometimes it's really lively, sometimes less so, but I'm hoping today will be lively.
The speakers will be on chat and obviously all the attendees are in chat as well. So it's a good thing to do. Please join in. So Yeah. Once again, thank you for joining us at Society Street today. Today's fireside chat focuses on Society Publishing and follows on from last week's fireside chat that was also on Society Publishing.
Last week we spoke to people who were working in or with Society Publishing. This week we're speaking to publishers on the same topic; publishers who work with society partners on their publishing program, and we've asked them to get their view on what the current landscape means for publishers. We are ... The session is chaired by Heather Staines, who's on our program committee.
Thank you, Heather. She chaired the last one as well, so it provides a nice continuity of topic. So thank you. I know this is going to be a really interesting session. I was party to the planning call and it was just great. There's so much to talk about. And I think there's no way we're going to cover this topic exhaustively in this session.
So for those of you who can, I do recommend you joining us in the Zoom call. Afterwards, there'll be a link that pops up and you can join it and it'll just take you to a Zoom call where the speakers will be and anyone who joins us. And it's normally a really fun session. And I know there'll be loads of questions, so please, please do come along.
Finally, before I hand over to our chair and speakers, I just wanted to say that Society Street has been made possible thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and conference partners. Wiley, Elsevier, Frontiers and MDPI are all gold sponsors. They're also speaking because obviously we asked them first as sponsors for our conference. So they are gold sponsors. Atypon continues to support us as a silver sponsor and our sustaining partners this year are 67 Bricks, Cadmore Media and TBI Communications.
We'd like to thank all of our sponsors for their support and because without them, we wouldn't be able to share our content so freely. Just a reminder, those of you who've joined us since I've been talking, please do join in the chat should be on the right hand side of your screen. You just need to put in your name and you can join in. Also, please follow us on Twitter and you can feel free to tweet using the hashtag Society Street 2022.
So yeah, so now I'm going to hand over to our speakers, which is I know what you've been waiting for. Heather is joined today by Neil, Florin, Shawn and Robyn. And I know that they are just about to get stuck into a really interesting conversation. So I'll be joining in on chat and following up with questions and chatting to you guys at the end of the session, like I said on the Zoom link, so please do come and join us and sit back and enjoy what promises to be a great conversation.
Thanks so much, Heather. Speak to you soon.
