ALEJANDRO BADIA: She would know how to. She says, Dad, hands are easy to draw. I go, boy, you're the only one that says that. So the thumb and we can give this to the patient afterwards. OK? Sorry. Sorry let's get this patient has a tumor here as well. So what I did is the tendon, the FPL, which attaches here to bend, was really bad right here. I mean, this whole part was just scarred from the wrist.
ALEJANDRO BADIA: So what I do is I took the FTS here. The FTP is still there. I took this tendon, cut it, but just do a little incision there and I bring it out the incision here from where the plate was, then I passed it out. That was the part that was a little tricky because there was a lot of scar here so I passed it with a clamp inside the carpal tunnel. I saw the medial nerve and there's nine other tendons.
ALEJANDRO BADIA: And I pass it, then I pass this tendon out through the carpal tunnel out here, and then we do the transfer. So that is a FDS 4 transfer to the FPL. OK? [VIDEO ENDS]
