SAM BURRELL: Hi hello, everyone. Thank you for coming along today and joining our Society Street event. Um, I'm just going to wait a few minutes while people log in and sort themselves out and get settled in. For those of you who don't know us, Society Street is effectively a community run it was originally a conference, but it hasn't been for a little while.
SAM BURRELL: The idea is, is to bring together those working in societies and society leaders to share their experiences and to speak to each other about the challenges that societies face because there's very special organizations. And so we felt that there was a need to convene people who wanted to talk about some of the issues that affect the society as a whole. If you have any ideas for something you'd like Society Street to cover, please do get in touch.
SAM BURRELL: Our details are on the website. We love hearing from our community about where, what they'd like to hear and today, today's session is arising out of one of those suggestions from, from one of our community. So thank you for that suggestion. A bit of housekeeping. You should see on the right of your screen a chat feature.
SAM BURRELL: If you put in your name, then you'll be able to participate in the chat and you'll be able to speak to the speakers and other attendees as we listen to the conversation. And do feel free to put in comments and chat to each other. It's, you know, the idea is that it's an interactive session. So yes, Thanks for joining us today. We hope you'll find today's session insightful and interesting.
SAM BURRELL: We'd love it if you could join us afterwards for the roundtable Q&A discussion at the end of the fireside chat. Zoom link will pop up, and if you follow that, it'll take you to a Zoom meeting where we'll all be. And it's a that bit's not, not recorded or anything. It's the idea is it's a free-for-all where we can all discuss and share ideas. And I always really like those.
SAM BURRELL: I think they're my favourite part of Society Street so would recommend it if you can, if you can come along. Society Street's been made possible thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and conference partners. And they are Elsevier, Frontiers, MDPI and Wiley with Cadmore Media and TBI Communications being our sustaining partners. So thank you to all of them for their support, which allows us to do this without having to charge you guys anything for it.
SAM BURRELL: Quick reminder, those of you who've just joined us, there's a chat function on the right of your screen. Anyone who's a tweep who likes to do things on Twitter, please feel free to tweet using the hashtag Society Street 2023. And a reminder to join the Zoom call at the end. Right I'm going to stop doing this intro bit and start up the conversation with the panelists who've agreed to come along and talk to us about their experiences with e-learning platforms.
